will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

When I first arrived to the veterans village I wasn’t sure
where to go, but there were a few gentlemen outside who were very nice and
directed me to the right place, which made me feel better because I was a
little nervous at first. Once we got to the room we prepared the room to serve
the men. Then one of the students was given a bell to ring that let the
veterans know the food was set up and they could come up to grab their plates.
I really
enjoyed doing this because my uncle served our country and I know how much he
has been through and it really made me happy to help. Also I really enjoyed
seeing how happy it made the veterans. I am the type of person who likes to
help and never know how to start and this opportunity has given me a start and
I would like to continue to help with this even after I am done with the class.
I would encourage for other people to do this. Doing good deeds really will
change your mood and I believe in good karma and doing good for others will
bring good to you as well.
