“Do you want to know who you are?
Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.”
-Thomas Jefferson
The Veterans dinner was absolutely
and additional fun to this course. To me it’s a blessing that we can do
something like this like providing for a group of veterans with my professor
and peers. When I attend the veterans Dinner, I sign up for whatever the dinner
options are and provide it every other Thursday. My peers and I set up the
dinners and prepare the meals for the veterans as they gather in the room.
Honestly,
it more strengthens my core values and skill to giving back because first
things first, I am a selfless person and will go out my way to make sure
someone or something is Okay. I honestly seen this in myself because when I was
a kid, I usually rather take the punishment for my brother, cousins and a young
age, always helping and giving. Situations happen where I was placed in foster
care and to see and hear the stories that was brought up to me was very sad,
and I always want to help others even though we were in the same predicament
but different stories. I often seen people donate and give their precious time
to me and other children in the system and my goal and purpose in life is to do
the same, serve people.
Everyone
should find ways to contribute any way because who knows what adversity you
will face in life or what you face. So, it is best to do good to others and
good will return as Blessings. It is often within you, a purpose, that you do
best with the least amount of effort. You have my RESPECT professor Soldani. This should’ve been the topic for the research
paper because I would have a lot to talk about and research. But heading back
to my research. Thanks for the experience.
