For the veterans at veteran village I made goody bags again this year. I think they are fun and different which I like. Since I participated in feeding the veterans around October . I decides to fill the goody bags with candy and also rice crispy treats that I made. I made the rice crispy treats into a pumpkin because halloween was around the corner.
My core value is love, and feeding the veterans helped me use my core value, because I my not know those gentleman that I meet, but I thank them for everything they did for us. I wanted to do this from the kindness of my heart. I felt like I put thought and love into the things I made for them rather then just throwing something together.
The experience of feeding them showed me that people are always generous to these who help them out. We should always be grateful of what we have, and give back to others when we can. I didn't do this assignment by myself. Two of my friends helped me out. They thought it was a nice thing I was doing and made them what to give back to the community.
